Although my life has been filled with outrageous adventures and heart-stopping thrills, I will stick to the highlights and not bore you with the insane details. Here is my life in a nutshell..... the Cliff Notes Version.

I grew up in Campbell, CA with my dad, mom and two older brothers Tom and Bob. My life was divided between school and sports (mostly sports). This philosophy paid off since I got a full scholarship to Cal Poly- San Luis Obispo playing basketball. I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education and continued my higher education at CSU-Northridge where I received my teaching credential.

My adventures continued after college when I married an amazing man, Jim Raitt. We had our son Logan shortly after our 2nd year of marriage. When he turned 4 months old, we ripped him from his grandparent's arms and left crowded California for greener and quieter pastures...... Denver, CO. Denver turned out to be very brown and just as crowded, so after we had our baby girl Jessie we headed for the mountains. And there we found our "Mother Ship", a town that was made for our thrill seeking lives, Gypsum, CO. I started a Christian preschool and childcare center and had our 3rd child, Rebecca (aka Becca Boo or Boogster). Jim owns a ServiceMaster franchise and the flight school at the Eagle County Airport.

I sold the preschool and now am a full time mom and author. Writing children's books has always been my favorite pass time. I love to be with my family and feel God has blessed me with the desire and passion to be both wife and mom.

As I read over my bio, it doesn't sound as adventuresome as I remember it to be. I guess you just had to experience it to feel the thrill and adventure in it all. And the journey continues......
